Publishing Page giving "This page has been modified since you opened it." error.

Hello again,

Here is the sequence of things I did and got this error:

1. Created and modified and published the page.

2. I again opened page for editting and modified the content.

[No Error so far.]

3. Clicked on "Publish" button.

4. Page gets redirected to error page which says "This page has been modified since you opened it." and "Please Refresh page."

5. Then if I refresh it goes to the page with toolbar in display mode (not edit mode) and all the content changes get lost.

6. Then page is again Edited, and content is modified and published.

7. It publishes content without any problem.

I found some solutions but those are for MOSS http://blogs.msdn.com/tejasr/archive/2008/06/19/resolution-moss-this-page-has-been-modified-since-you-opened-it-you-must-open-the-page-again.aspx

and our layout pages are inherited from the webpart pages.

Please guide me in resolving these issues. Also, I am using CompleteSharepoint2.0 so, cannot move to 3.0.

THanks in advance for your help.

Thank you.

Well, dont bother I solved the issue.

I have to make sure that following javascript code gets executed:

            if (document.getElementById("MSO_PageHashCode"))

           {

                         document.getElementById("MSO_PageHashCode").value="";

           }
